Q | You’ve said that channel executives have a tendency to wrongly assume they can acquire their way out of problems. What sort of problem could predispose a managed services company to do that?

A | MOST MSPs ARE RUN BY TECHNOLOGISTS. OVER TIME, MAYBE they add a bookkeeper and an account rep, but typically the person running it is going to be somebody who’s still very technologically involved. Ultimately, that becomes a gating factor because that person needs to be focused on strategy and building the business and get out of day-to-day technology decisions.
